Distinguished and Life Members
NCITE SECTION DISTINGUISHED MEMBERS 
A Distinguished Member is an honorary designation available only to members of the Section who have performed long-standing, notable, and exemplary service in the interests of the Section and transportation profession. Distinguished Members of the Section shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of Section membership. The number of living Distinguished Members shall not exceed three (3) percent of the total Section membership on the preceding January 1, excluding Student members.

NCITE SECTION LIFE MEMBERS
Any Section Member who is a member in good standing in the Institute and who has reached the age of 55, has paid the Institute dues above the Student Level for 20 years, including the current year, and is no longer deriving his or her principal income as a Transportation Professional, shall be eligible to be a Section Life Member. Any Member who satisfies the criteria specified may request, in writing, that the Section Board designate him or her to be a Life Member. Section Life Members shall be exempt from further Section annual dues and any special assessments.
